The New York Region Rallycross Series is resuming on October 14 and 15, 2000. This venue will be held at the familiar site of 'The Irish Cultural Centre' in East Durham, NY. The program includes night stages on Saturday's schedule. This was first introduced to Rallycross very successfully last year by the New York Region Rally Club and competitors found it challenging and lots of fun.

The course is the same 1.2 mile track over gravel, grass and broken tarmac. In the interest of holding more timed runs and improving the overall quality of the event, we will limit the number of entries for the first time to 75! We request that all interested participants pre-register only by phone by calling Chief Registrar Joan Noga at (516)759-3078. Joan will confirm your entry and assign a number for your car. Payment will be accepted upon arrival at the site!

Saturday's night accommodations will be hosted by the newly renovated hotel "Michael J. Quill" which is on the same premises as the track. Your car will be parked adjacent to the track. Rooms are limited at this location and generally in the town of E. Durham. Joan is accepting reservations for "M. J. Quill" and we have 43 double rooms on hold! For other accommodations, call Erin's Melody at (518)634-2855 and mention the Rallycross for special rates! A "rally party" is planned for Saturday evening!

Location of event is at the "Irish Cultural Centre" on Rt. 145, East Durham, NY, approx. 14 miles northwest of Catskill (exit 21 on NY State Thruway - Rt. 87).

Entry fee is $50 for each event. There will be trophies for top three positions in all classes...Stock U2, O2, O4, Modified U2, O2, O4, and Rally U2, O2, O4.

Excessively noisy cars, (i.e., normally atmospheric engines that are not muffled) will not be accepted for entry. This was requested by the local residents.

Deadline for entries (remember, you may register by phone) is Thursday evening Oct 12th. We will accept entries on site only if there are open spots or cancellations! (Be aware, recently we have averaged 85-100+ cars per event!)

This will most likely be the last Rallycross this year in New York and it should be one of the best! Call to register now and reserve your spot.

Bring family and friends. We'll have food vendors on site and T-shirts for sale. Everyone is invited to the rally party at the bar of 'Erin's Melody' on Rt. 145 (across from track) on Saturday night!
